New This Weekend: I Used to Be Funny and In A Violent Nature

February 1 to 10

We at The Screening Room are delighted to be the main venue for the 25th Annual Reelout Queer Film Festival, organized by Reelout Arts Inc… the Festival is now underway!

About The Reelout Queer Film Festival:

The 25th annual Reelout Queer Film Festival takes place Feb 1-10, 2024 at The Screening Room Theatre in Kingston, ON Canada, the unceded traditional territories of the Mohawk, Anishinabek, Huron-Wendat, Algonquin, Iroquois, Mississauga and the Metis settlers.

This year’s festival will showcase over 90 films from 35 countries/diasporas for our silver jubilee anniversary. We’ll be revisiting some of our most beloved themes from past years including our Reel Peeps Doc Series, our RealOut Doc Series, our ReelOut in the Dark spooky spotlight and of course our exciting narratives and incredible shorts programs as well.  We’re also thrilled to showcasing retrospective works from the early 90s by Midi Onodera (Skin Deep) and the Kingston-lensed Dreamers of the Day by Patricia Rivera Spencer!
