New This Week: The Penguin Lessons 🇬🇧 starring Steve Coogan!

June 10 @ 3:30pm, Filmmaker In Attendance!

Permanently underemployed Devon Shire has been volunteering as a canvasser on political campaigns for the past seven years with the hope of realizing his dream of working in Parliament. When that dream is blocked forever, he decides to make a long-shot for city council with no money, no volunteers and no hope. Marie Bellechance is one of the premier political organizers in the country, having never lost a campaign. Having grown cynical of politics, Marie looks to trade in her impressive experience for a high paid consulting position at Knowlton & Nash. There’s just one catch: she has to prove her ability to campaign in the face of certain defeat by the running the most hopeless political campaign imaginable: the campaign of one Devon Shire. Bringing together the candidate who can’t win and the campaign manager who can’t stand to lose, Devon and Marie must navigate through complex municipal regulations, opportunistic politicians and disengaged voters to pull off the greatest upset in municipal electoral history.
