Back by popular demand: Purlin’ J’s Yarn Emporium and The Cinema Society of Kingston are offering Popcorn & Purls: A Craft-Along Movie Matinee… featuring Nora Ephron’s cozy rom-com, Sleepless in Seattle (1993)!

Bring your knitting, crochet, embroidery, cross stitch, or other handicrafts, plus your crafty friends for a cozy afternoon at the movies. Tickets include an entry for a prize raffle and lights will be dim so you can see the screen and your skeins!

About The Film:

Sleepless in Seattle (1993) is a romantic comedy about widower Sam Baldwin (Tom Hanks), whose young son Jonah calls a radio show to find him a new partner. Journalist Annie Reed (Meg Ryan) hears the broadcast and becomes drawn to Sam, despite being engaged. Their paths intertwine as love, fate, and the iconic Empire State Building bring them together. With Nora Ephron’s witty script and standout performances, the film’s timeless themes have made it a beloved must-see rom-com that was a defining influence on the genre.
