This screening kicks off the new body horror film series, Beyond the Flesh. It is hosted by the Cinema Society of Kingston and will be introduced by series programmer, Noah Berc.

Raw (2016) follows Justine, a new veterinary student struggling to adapt to the intense hazing rituals at her academic institution. As a legacy student, Justine must reach the incredibly high standards of her family, pushing Justine to discover her bloodthirsty genetics in the cutthroat world of academia and hazing culture. Directed by Palme d’Or-winning filmmaker Julia Ducournu (Titane), this challenging film has amassed cult status due to its vomit-inducing scenes, provocative themes, and slick, stylish cinematography.
