Opening Friday: Cronenberg's The Shrouds, Librarian drama Darkest Miriam and Conclave returns to the cinema.

Part of the series March Break Movies (March 13 to 17), featuring $5 admission for everyone and $5 kids combos (small popcorn + juice box)!

One of Pixar’s best movies: Remy (Patton Oswalt), a resident of Paris, appreciates good food and has quite a sophisticated palate. He would love to become a chef so he can create and enjoy culinary masterpieces to his heart’s delight. The only problem is, Remy is a rat. When he winds up in the sewer beneath one of Paris’ finest restaurants, the rodent gourmet finds himself ideally placed to realize his dream.

This is a film about a rat who becomes a chef in Paris. But it’s so much more than that. It’s about what a great artist can be, where a great artist can come from, it’s about food and how to savour it.

Film Companion

The animation is superb, the vocal work flawless, the script witty, the central conflict between family ties and the pursuit of excellence subtly handled.
