Synopsis: A film by Michael Watts & David McNulty: On our travels after some time spent in Guatemala, we ran into the story of the resistance in Cabanas, El Salvador, to the El Dorado mine, owned by Canadian mining company Pacific Rim. With the camera kit to hand, we involved ourselves with the community struggle against a serial campaign of intimidation and violence from the company to the community, making a short documentary. With zero budget and driven by personal interest in the subject, we have the kindness shown to us by the community to thank for giving us food, shelter and transport we needed to make the film.
